Mindaugas Meškauskas is an award-wining Lithuanian TV director and scriptwriter. For over 20 years, he has worked with major Lithuanian TV channels to create, challenge, provoke and tell compelling stories that attract and engage viewers. He has produced some of the biggest shiny-floor and music shows including X Factor, Lithuania’s Got Talent, M.A.M.A. Annual Music Award, as well as cultural documentaries and reality shows.
Interested in photography and its methods since his teen years, Meškauskas has studied historic and alternative techniques, eventually discovering the singular appeal of wet plate collodion and kallitype methods, a stark contrast to fleeting, temporary TV imagery.
Focusing primarily on portrait photography and portrait storytelling, Meškauskas has had eight personal exhibitions in the past four years and participated in various group shows and other art projects, such as covers for two musical albums.
His collodion portraits were published in Seities Magazine, The Collodion Book and numerous regional publications and websites. Several of Meškauskas’s wet plate collodion portraits have been chosen as “author photos” in books by artists, photographers and writers.
